Metro Health Continue Vaccination Push in Antioch

Public health workers will take H1N1 vaccines to Hickory Hollow Mall Saturday for a one-day community clinic.

The Metro Health Department has targeted the Antioch and Cane Ridge areas with vaccines because of a concentration of confirmed H1N1 cases there.

Nurses will offer a thousand doses of the more widely available nasal spray vaccine at no charge from 10 to 3 near the Hickory Hollow food court. The nasal spray is being offered to anyone age 2 to 49 without complicating health conditions.

The Metro Health Department expects to open more community clinics as vaccines become available. As many as 130,000 doses are expected in Nashville over the coming months.
